A Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) exam tests an individual's knowledge of Windows operating system, while the Sun Certified Systems Administrator (SCSA) exam focuses on the Solaris operating system. Those interested in obtaining certification in the Linux/Unix operating system can earn the Linux Professional Institute (LPI), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Linux+ accreditation. Systems Administrator Certifications can also be acquired for Apple, HP-UX and Oracle operating systems.
What Can I Do With a Systems Administrator Certificate?
Many Systems Administrators with experience and a relevant bachelor degree are becoming certified to keep their skill sets current or to advance in their careers.
